Paraklesis Canon to the Mother of God
& Exhibit of Icons of the Theotokos
To mark the Dormition Fast, the Paraklesis Canon to the Mother of God was served. Prayers for the health, salvation and well-being of many individuals were included. At its conclusion, the faithful were anointed with oil from the lamp which burned near the icon of the Theotokos.
Following the Paraklesis, Reader David Mastroberte set up a small exhibit of icons of the Ever-Virgin from his collection. Approximately 35 pieces were on display.
