Services will be as follows:
Monday - Thursday - Mar. 3-6 we will serve the Great Canon of St. Andrew at 6:00 PM
Friday - Mar 7 - Presanctified Liturgy at 6pm.
Weekend as usual.
This evening, I will email you the schedule of Lenten Mission Services in our Wilkes-Bare Deanery.
Please plan to attend those Lenten Services. Lent is a time of repentance - time to put the world on a side and focus on Christ. Those extra services help and aid us in that endeavor. Sunday Liturgies and Saturday Vespers are not Lenten services - they are the same during and outside the Lent. Unless we make effort to be in the church during the week, focus on prayer, and keep fasting, there will be no Lenten experience for us, and next two months will be just like any other two months in the year. Let us not waste our time in this world and be like people in the Gospel who didn't recognize the day on which they were visited by Christ (Lk 19, 44). "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." (Ecc 3, 1) Ahead of us is the season of the Great Lent; let us use it wisely, not foolishly. "Maranatha - Christ is coming!" (1 Cor 16, 22)
